On April 16, 2026, Freehold Township traveled to Ranney just one day after suffering a difficult loss to Neptune.
The Patriots responded in a big way.

It was an afternoon when the offense clicked, the defense created pressure and the Patriots showed just how dangerous they could be when everything came together.
One year later, the two programs meet again.
THE 2026 MATCHUP

Freehold Township entered the game with a 1–2 record and looking for a response.
They got one.
Quarterback Skyler Rausch completed 11 of 13 passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns while adding 46 rushing yards.
Senior Chloe Glickman delivered a huge performance, catching five passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns while adding 73 rushing yards and two more scores.
The Patriots were just as disruptive defensively.
Freshman Gabby Ramiz recorded an interception and a sack, while Joelle Ganon registered three sacks as Freehold Township's defense kept constant pressure on the Panthers.
The result was a decisive 33–6 victory that evened the Patriots' record at 2–2.
THE RESPONSE
What made the victory even more significant was what happened 24 hours earlier.
Freehold Township had just suffered a 27–0 loss to Neptune.
There wasn't much time to dwell on it.
The Patriots had to turn around and play again the next afternoon.
Instead of allowing the loss to linger, Freehold Township responded with its highest-scoring performance of the regular season.
That ability to respond to adversity became an important lesson during Year One.
RANNEY
Ranney was also navigating its first varsity girls flag football season in 2026.
The Panthers finished their inaugural campaign 0–8, but those results only tell the story of Year One.
Like Freehold Township, Ranney now enters 2027 with something it didn't have when the programs first met:
Experience.
That makes the second meeting a new challenge.
Freehold Township can't simply expect 2026 to repeat itself.
