Freehold Township battled throughout but couldn’t break through offensively, falling 20–0 to Shore in a hard-fought matchup.
Shore set the tone early, striking in the first quarter when Grace Ascolese connected with Sydney Tilton on a 13-yard touchdown pass to take a 6–0 lead. They extended that advantage in the second quarter with another aerial score—this time a 15-yard touchdown from Ascolese to Dixie Smith, followed by a successful 2-point conversion to make it 14–0 at halftime.
Freehold’s defense showed resilience, shutting out Shore in the third quarter and keeping the game within reach. However, Shore added an insurance score in the fourth quarter, with Ascolese throwing her third touchdown of the day—a 16-yard pass to Addison Vincelli—to seal the 20–0 final.
Offensive Highlights (Freehold Township):
Quarterback Skyler Rausch (#14) was efficient, completing 11 of 15 passes for 78 yards with no interceptions. She also contributed on the ground with 21 rushing yards.
Chloe Glickman (#23) led all receivers with 7 catches for 38 yards, while Shiloh Harris (#3) added 18 receiving yards and contributed in both the run and pass game.
Defensive Effort:
Freehold’s defense was active despite the scoreboard. Skyler Rausch and Sihera Karce (#24) led the team with 6 and 5 tackles respectively.
Joelle Ganon (#1) made a major impact with 3 sacks, consistently applying pressure on the quarterback.
Rachael Marsella (#7) came up with the team’s lone interception.
Game Takeaway:
Freehold Township moved the ball at times but struggled to convert drives into points against a strong Shore defense. The effort on defense—particularly the pass rush and tackling—kept the game competitive, but Shore’s consistent passing attack proved to be the difference.
Final: Shore 20, Freehold Township 0
